Stillen all the way, even though it's pricey.

I would go for JWT...It sounds very agressive and it's cheaper than stillen

STOCK. All WAIs are the same anyways. If I was you I would buy the "bomz" ebay intake.

I have a JWT and I love it, sounds awesome. I also have the Berk Midpipe. JWT is C.A.R.B approved as well.

When I bought my Stillen one it was the same price as JWT. The Stillen one is nice, comes with everything to install as I am sure the JWT does too. The Stillen one is loud and noticeable at WOT. It sounds great.

for short ram i would go with frankencar/berk intake, for cai ones i like injen since you don't have to drill a hole like place racing one.

Injen is not a true CAI. PR is the only true CAI.

thanks for the feedback everyone.. i ended up buying a used stillen for 71$ on ebay. Dont mind me asking but what does WOT stand for?...and is the filter on the stillen made by k&n? or did k&n make it? They guy i bought the intake from said he used the "recharger kit" from k&n to clean the filter. Did he do the right thing?

first, WOT means Wide Open Throttle. your foot is on the gas pedal which is touching the floor.

second, $71 is a lot for a used stillen intake. it's more than i would pay, anyway. but that's me...

third, a recharger kit consists of two fluids that clean and lubricate the k&n filter back to original (or close to it) condition. the filter is made of gauze, so it can be reused. most other filters are made of paper, and then discarded when they become so dirty, they become ineffective.

next, you need to get a midpipe from berk or frankencar. berk is less expensive. they are arguably the same thing, but i have a frankencar.

i wouldn't have paid more than half of what he paid for it, brand new.
-you can find k&n filters (just the cone filter) at Lappens for 30-35 bucks.
-then it's a question of what the midpipe is worth.
-then you need to buy an adapter to fit the k&n cone to the MAS.

so that may or may not have put you at 75.oo. i would also be nervous as to whether or not this guy over oiled it. if the MAS gets oil on it, you'll need a new MAS. this a very vague topic about how much lubricating oil to apply. maybe someone else can shed some light on how much oil is enough...

I have a 6th gen and had an injen cold air intake on it an since then ive changed intake setups a lot. The filter on the injen I had sat in the fender well but It didnt seem like it gained much power from track times. Best time I ran was with my oem airbox with a k&n filter. With the resonator removed and the front snorkel taken so it would be ported. That setup seemed to be the best tq wise, or at least what I felt.

What resonator are you talking about? The 6th gen has a more straight path between the MAF and TB as compared to the 5.5g, is this correct?

the stillen and JWT are the same exact thing...not differance....fromw hat i heard the nissan dealer sadi stillen copied the JWT. If you look they have teh same kind of filter and stack. You can buy them both at my dealer.

and yes the JWT is CARB approved as well.

the adapter is called a velocity stack. Supposedly that thing helps but i wouldnt know, i dont have one.
A mid-pipe is the pipe that replaces the rubber hose and vacuum box inbetween the throttle body and MAF.
