Stuck (frozen) windows

With the frigid weather, my windows get frozen shut. Has anyone used anything to lessen the chances of this happening? I'm not sure about using a sicone spray. I've heard that that's not good for the seals. Any ideas?

They will break loose after 15-20 minutes in the car with the heat on. I was trying to prevent it from happening in the first place.

Using warm water on the windows when its zero degrees would only make the problem worse. I'll pass on that idea.

And as stated, I believe silicone is bad for the window seals over time, but maybe I'm wrong....

In this Minnesota -20 degree weather, I try to avoid opening windows entirely. I've had too many maxima window motors die on me.

it happened this morning to both of the passenger side windows

i just grabbed the window from both sides and pushed it down, it got loose, and then it worked

but you dont have to take my word for it

Bluebrekr,

Don't use warm water (bad advice). This doesn't happen as we park our cars
in the garage. When we used to own a camry my wife had a power inverter and
use a hair dryer to warm up the seals to loosen up the windows. It worked
real good, especially in the harsh winter months.

I usually just tap the window a bit and then it opens
