Shift **** replacement?

I have a 2002 6-speed and have been thinking about replacing my oem shift ****. It's getting a bit worn out and misaligned when screwed/twisted all the way tight so it doesn't move. I know nothing about shift ***** but noticed the oem one just screws into place. Are all shift ***** the same thread size? If not, what size do I need? Would it be as simple as unscrewing the oem shift **** and screwing a new one back on? Any places online you would recommend?

It is just as easy as what you described. Make sure you get a manual **** and most ***** will come with different adapters to fit any threaded shaft. I have a MOMO **** and you can see pics of the installation HERE towards the bottom of the page if you like.

ye, what he said, its just screw on, the stcok can be real hard to get off sometimes! some people end up cutting it off. but if you get a rag and adjustable pliers you should be fine.

Thanks for all the feedback. I think I'll go ahead and get a new shiftknob. Hey, Crispykid, where did you get that MOMO shift ****? It looks pretty good!
