Need some Tech help

My car is simply not running well. It is a 3 liter, 50000 miles, full dealer service. ANyway it is idling very rough and in every gear and through out the RPM range it is missing all the time constantly. Very jerky ride. It did this for 2 days, stopped for about 4 hours and has been doing it again for the past 2 days as well. I filled up with new gas and added a fuel injector cleaner. No luck. What do you think? Bad o2 sensor? Clogged injector? Computer not functioning properly? Is there a way to do a diagnosis or should I just take it to the dealer?

To me, sounds like one or more of your coils may be bad (even if you don't have a misfire code).

sounds like a coil(s) issue off the bat. i would not start just replacing parts hoping it was the coils or maf. is your ses light on? if so, i am not sure what repair places you have in your region of the world but you may take it in to have them read.
the coils could be causing a poor idle and misfires on one or more cylinder. on the other hand, the maf could be on its way and is giving improper a/f input to the ecu.
id have it hooked up to an obd2 diagnostic reader and go from there.

Sounds like a bad coil. If it's doing the problem readily at idle, you can use a special tool to isolate the bad one basically by turning off each coil, one at a time. When you turn off a good coil, the idle will get much worse (jerky). When you switch off the bad coil it won't change much.

He does state "full dealer service", so my guess is that's not a problem. Could be the MAF, but he does state the miss is "throughout the RPM range". If he couldn't rev it past a certain mark I'd say MAF, so I'm leaning coil packs here.

Do you hear a "metalic" sound associated with the misfires?

not noises just very rough Every so often it lurches forward for a split second indicating to me that for that short time it works properly.
