One of my friends told me that a Y-pipe is another name for a downpipe. I was wondering if it is worth the money, and how much hp will it give me? Thanks guys

On an automatic with a high flow intake and catback you get 15 horsepower and 8 lb/ft of torque to the WHEELS. As recently shown by DesertPearl who has a 2001 AE automatic Maxima.

I believe a 5-speed with the same mods would get 18-20 hp to the WHEELS.

Thanks for the info guys. I did a 6.5 stock on my max with 4800 miles on it. G-Tech pro gives pretty reasonable times so i guess i did a good job on the launch. Hoping to get 6 flat with my intake and y-pipe. You think this is possible?

If you believe you can fly than yeah!!. But, In the real world a supercharger will barely get you in high 5's, I think. The Z car has 260 hp and is lighter than the max. It barely pulls in the very high 5's. So you be the judge.

I have the Stillen Y-pipe in my 2K Max. It delivers about
20+ horsepower. When you first get it, it's quiet. Once
you wait a few hundred miles, what a difference in the
sound of the exhaust. It's a direct bolt on. GET IT!
