Max totalled - signing off

The Max forum has been a great informative site. The little lady totalled the Max and we ended up getting an Acura MDX as a replacement. So looks like I'll be checking out for now, maybe we'll have a Max again someday.

Max Good Luck MAxMAMA! Got my wife an MDX last June and it has been a great vehicle except for the horrible gas mileage. It has been averaging 12-13 MPG around town. I'm begining to think I should have bought her a new MAX instead!

I don't suppose that was your maxima that ate the guardrail on Fairfax County Parkway approching Fair Lakes today during that wimpy snowstorm?!? It was a 5.5th gen....one of the broken HID headlight assemblies was sitting on the shoulder of the road next to it (next to the missing front fender)....Hope not, didn't look pretty.

Irish44j - Nope, wasn't ours on the FFX County Pkwy (though I travel that road daily). It was in the Bristow/Gainesville area.

Sad to hear about the Max... Good luck with the MDX. Now you can climb mountains and run through puddles like they do on the commercial.

Hey! I am in the NVA area too- Both up in Reston + Manassas/ Bristow (nice roads here!). Haven't read that you/ your lady are OK, but it sounds like you both is be...

I have the MDX + Max. Both excellent choices...but what a difference in 1st gears! Them MDX wanna shift @ 5k RPM!
