Electric Sunroof

Anyone besides me have any problems with their sunroof opening after a heavy rain on their 2k3 SE Maxima?

I pull my left switch back to open the whole roof and it just makes the noise as if it is opening but it just sits there, then I push the switch back to the forward position and then push the pop up switch and it won't raise all the way.

I usually have to push it into the open position and then once it is there I push the fully open switch and then the roof will open as it supposed to.
Anyone else has/had this problem? What is it and what should I do? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

is it doing it after all the water is off your car or are you trying to open it w/ water on it? it says in the O.M. to not open until dry. look at this thread and try what it says...it might help: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=325411

I was having problems with mine. You could try:

1)Reset it by holding the tilt button all the way closed for about 10 to 20sec (you should hear a click).
2)Remove the relay under the steering wheel for a few hours.

I tried both and it didn't fix my problem, which was intermitten operation of the sunroof. I took it in and they did some data upload. It's worked ever since. I'll see if I can dig up the receipt when I get home.

Yes, it was doing it after all the water is off of my car, I never open it with water on it because I don't want the water to run onto me. But I will try all of the recommendations that you guys suggested.

I thank all of you for your suggestions and I will let you know if it works.
