Custom Enterprise FSTB Special

Hey guys,

I don't really race my car around much, but I figure an increase in handling ability would be sweet. So I was looking around on the CustomMaxima site and I saw the specials section. They're selling the 5th gen FSTBs in blue and red (not polished) for $40, regularly $70. Is this a good deal or are those things crappy compared to other brands? I'm not crazy about the color offering, but $30 less is a nice savings. Guess the red would look okay. Thanks guys.

you can get a better deal on ebay for you FSTB. Check out the generic ones. I paid like $20 for mine and I am pleased with it.

I bought a "generic" one from Paradox-systems and it was $30 shipped to Hawaii. It fit right the first time, and I like what it's done for me too!

Just ordered the Ebay FSTB, the one that's $6.99 plus 16.99 S & H...total came to $23.98 shipped I believe. Should be here in like a week and I can tell you if it's worth it or cheap. Some others have also gotten this FSTB, check the recent threads....

Wow, I didn't realize they were so cheap. But I have like $30 store credit at CustomMax, so maybe I'll just go for that one. Does anybody have the CustomMax one and can comment on it? Thanks.

If you don't use your credit check this one out. Decent fitment, awesome price.

The CM one is on both my forth and fifth gens and I tested it by taking a turn on the freeway at about 70mph w/o the FSTB then put it on and my max's easily went an extra 20mph with it around the turns. I honestly think its really solid and it fit well... thats my input and they are really catchy colors... I am not just saying that cause I am sponsored by them... I bought these before that. I even put one on my mom's max for her safety... she kinda rallies hers.

It seems that most are pretty pleased with the performance from any version of FSTB that they add to their cars. Whether you spend $20 on an eBay version or $200 on a Stillen. Basically, it comes down to your budget and if you care about having the name stamped on it. I've been quite happy with the increase in handling with the inexpensive version I have on my car, and doubt I'd replace it with one that costs 10x's as much.

Wow, I can't believe there are companies out there charging more than $30 for a FSTB.

Do these have fitment issues on the 5.5th gen?

I wouldn't pay for it, but the Stillen FSTB is a beautiful piece.

No fitment issues with mine.... why would you want to take attention away from the beauty of the 5.5 engine with some fancy expensive FTSB?

You didn't have to add washers to the mounts to clear anything?

I got the Otto racing one for 30 bux and it looks just like the CE and the Stillen one. Done bother spending that much since they all are same. Spend more if you want a show car.

The strut tower had a couple of "bumps" where the ring of the support mount went, so I cut out that section so the FSTB ring fit flush with the strut tower. That was easy, I also painted the ring black to be more subtle. Fit, finish and function are great.... even greater for 25 bucks shipped.
