honestly, what's up with Korean driving Japanese cars? I am not stereotyping, but I know some Korean friends too! They told me that they either drive Mercedes, BMW, other German cars or American made cars. They said that they are still mad about Japense........

Re: Um..

First of all.
Does it matter what kind of car I drive?
Lovesick your asking for a smack down if you say **** like that.

Spoiled up the *** huh?
Ever occured to you how hard Korean people work for a living.
Its not our fault that we have to work hard so we can enjoy life a little bit easier.

You can call me spoiled all you want.
If you want the same **** in life like me.
Then go work for it.

it's true ...

there is still some bad blood b/w Koreans & Japanese ... it's the bitter taste in the mouth as a result of occurances during the war ... correct me if I'm wrong YJ or n e 1 else that is more Korean than I ...

The last time I was in Korea I asked my cousin why there were no Japanese cars or products for that matter ... that was the explanation he gave me ... tariffs for importing Japanese manufactured products r super high ... so u won't c Sony, Nissan .. etc ...

There's actually a petition going around globally b/c of a nationally approved textbook for the Japanese school curriculum which diminishes the atrocities against Koreans by the Japanese during the war ...

That's prob why some Koreans u know protest the purchase of Japanese cars ... just like animal rights activists do not eat veal ...

Hope this sheds some lite on the tender issue ...

Really?
My mom drives a sc430
My dad drives an i30t
Funny. They drive better cars then me.

I didn't lose my heart in Korea.

If you guys were so anti Japanese why did you buy a Japanese car?
Or in fact. Doesn't most Koreans buy Japanese brand electronics?
Why not support Samsung, Goldstar etc..?

I mean half this post says go world cup 2002. Isn't that a joined thing with the Japanese and Korean?
Then if we were so anti Japanese how come we have so many supporters for it?

I don't know if that's spoiled ... I drive a better car than my parents .. but I've paid 4 it on my own ...

when I was 16 my parents bought me a brand new Accord EX-R Coupe fully loaded ... this was more than they could afford ... but it's the Korean mentality that their kids should not lack n e thing ... I didn't / don't consider myself spoiled ... it's part of making sacrifices 4 your kids .. sure it's stupid .. but it's a parent thing
