Y-pipe, pulley, and resonated B pipe w/ stock muffler or rear section is you want some sound.

should i get a y-pipe and not consider getting headers in the future ?

00/01 are better off w/ a y-pipe. Headers won't give you as much hp as 02/03.

Get the headers less headache and dont have to worry about it later, but i dont even think Hs makes headers for 2001. If you go with catttman it would be more expnsive then just 650.00 dollars. Get an intake, fulll catback exhaust and if thier is more money get an underdrive pulley. If you dont want to save more money for the cattman headers then get the y pipe, Full catback, and if possible an intake. for more air..

intake and catback is bad way to spend $650 IMO.

I much rather spend $650 on y-pipe, CAI, and a pulley and use the rest of money towards installation.

Not knowing what you already have, makes it difficult to suggest what you should do next.
