Limited Slip Differential for Automatic

Is it possible to add a limited slip differential (LSD) to a 5th generation automatic? Tired of a slippin' in the snow.

I searched the forum, and note that some manuals come equipped with a helical limited slip differential, but couldn't find anything on the auto's.

$1350 and a new axle(I think you need AE drivers' axle) and you're in business:

If you mean it turns on when you spin the wheels, then you have TCS(Traction Control System).

IIRC, 2K2-2K3 autos don't offer HLSD.

Clarificiation: I have a 2000 GXE, so it doesn't have limited-slip. I don't want to buy a new transaxle; only obtain the limited slip function. It's a mechanical system on the 2000, yes?

You can't just add the differential, you have to replace the whole trans and maybe one axle. No way around it.

its just something that wont turn on for you...only if you have TCS...i have a 6-speed and i have an AT check, but that doesnt mean that turns on either...nissan just uses the same guage bezel for all their maxes, thats all

If you need this work done then PM me.

I also noticed on your cardomain page that you've been buying Stealin products. You may consider spending less money elsewhere for better product. Stealin really isn't the best place to buy aftermarket Nissan parts.
