Quick questions here.

Does anyone have or know where I can get door inserts to protect the kickpanel area on our Gen 5 doors?

I posted a question in the Detailing area on removing scratches in the door kickpanel . I wonder why Nissan did not carpet that area like the Gen 4 to protect it. ( I actually know the answer...ugh)

Well, if the sratches aren't repairable, I would like an insert to put there to further protect the door. CustomMaxima.com has them for gen 4, but not gen 5. Gen 4 did not even need these, they were already protected.

Sounds like a virgin how-to.. Try making your own then post some pics.. I have the same problem with mine, especially with my sandy, salty, snow-covered boots hitting the panel everytime I get in. I thought about spraying the bottoms with primer and black rubberized undercoating. But i figure i'll just wait until someone comes out with some classy looking covers first.

 

I think they did that in the 4th gens because it was the car "style" of the time.
