Question about y-pipe

I'm in the process of deciding which y-pipe to buy. I've searched but still have a few questions.

Are there advantages to SS over aluminized steel. Rust isn't much of a problem here.

I'm debating between Cattman, Warpspeed and budget. Am I leaving out any good choices?

I spoke with someone at budget and they said they didn't make one for 02 Max. Is this correct or should I call back? The price seems hard to beat!

I know it's been beaten to death but if you have opinions or facts about the different pipes I'd be interrested.

1. I think SS lasts longer overall... but that's probably because its more rust resistant. Although, my OEM y-pipe, which is aluminized, looks fine... however, my old GReddy cat-back, which was aluminized, was starting to rust pretty quickly...

2. Those 3 are the major makers of y-pipes and there's Stillen too...

3. Don't know anything about Budget...

4. The Warpspeed pipes seem to have the occassional fitment issue... I know mdloops and some others have had major problems with theirs... but Gooey's installed easily, fits fine, and works fine... I have a Cattman and install was relatively easy... others will tell ya the same too, although I do believe that installing the Cattman pipe is slightly more involved it seems (ya need to trim a bolt and extend the O2 sensor wires, although I've been hearing that this is optional) when compared to the others... overall it seems that people with Cattman y-pipes have had the least trouble with fitment if ya do the right things....

Performance wise... unless we know someone who has dynoed the 3 y-pipes on the same car... we'll never know....

I have the Custom Maxima SS Y-pipe. Perfect fitment! Great improvement and no signs of rust. I paid like $250 when they first came out. I also think there's one very similar to it on E-bay now for like $150. I haven't had any problems and the flex section is holding up fine.

Got the Warpspeed. Fitment was perfect.

The performance of all y-pipe should be the same, since they all do the same things: eliminate restrictive pre-cats, have smooth mandrel bends and shorter exhaust path.

Warpseed makes a 3" version for 4th gen. but all 5th gen are 2.5 inches. Buy what you like, they'll all work fine.

When you work in the exchange rate on the US vs. Canadian dollar, Budget /LSS is probably cheapest.

I have a Cattman ypipe. It is a little more expensive than Warpspeed or Budget but Brian was really helpful when I was shopping around so I decided to buy from him. Budget is good quality and good price too. If you're looking to save a few bucks go with budget.
