Ok so backing out of a driveway yesterday my 2K2 encountered a tree that sheared off my right rear view mirror. The actual mirror is okay, but the connector piece is totally snapped. I can't figure out on websites which parts I need. Does anyone have parts diagrams for the passenger side rear view? It's the one for 00-03. Thanks!

 

Ouch!, I feel your pain. Someone ripped off my passenger side mirror. You only need to replace the mirror assembly, since that's what you need, cuz at Nissan they are gonna ask if you need mirror and the shell (that's the cover painted part) which is not part of the assembly. So what you need to do is very easy to replace it yourself however the downside to it is that the assembly part is not cheap. It set me back 186 bucks just for that assembly part. It has the wiring on it as part of the assembly. I do not have a diagram but PM me so I can email you a write up how to do it.

Yeah, I almost did the same backing out of my garage trying to avoid the dumbazz parked half way behind me. I cleared the garage door jamb, but the mirror didn't.

It crunched and folded back, but luckily it didn't break so I could pop it back forward.

I do need to replace the housing now though, since the vibrating mirror TSB didn't work.
