Accident

Last night, I got into a minor accident with a Toyota Tacoma. Long story short, I was waiting to enter an apt. complex with a remote access gate. There was a camry in front of me, and i was next in line. The camry went throught, then all of a sudden this Tacoma gets in front of me to "make the gate," to get in before the gate closed. Unfortunately, I had already engaged my clutch and my left front light struck his rear left corner. It smashed his corner, but only did internal damage to my headlight assembly. Crazy ****. The exterior didn't even crack, yet his truck was dented, crumpled in in his overhang.

I had a '97 Maxima that wasn't nearly this strong...crazy. Now I got to fix the light. The amber turn indicator bulb is broken and the internal reflector pieces seem to be cracked. How much is just one headlamp? where can I get one used? also, the impact shifted my bumper seam about 1/4"...is this an easy fix to align?

the lights you can get on ebay as cheap as 100 used for a pair but they are usually new at $100 each. Most pick up drivers think they own the road.

Idiots like that need to remember to take their heads out of their asses when they drive... or have their arms and legs cut off so they can't drive at all.

If it's his fault get a quote from the most expensive dealer you have down there and take that insuracne money! Seems like a very good time to get some 02-03 projectors if you ask me...

I was rear ended by a Dodge truck at a stop light in broad daylight. I saw the hill billy in my side view mirror as he was coming to the light and he was fiddling around with something on the floor. BAM! His trucked was all smashed in the front so I assumed the worst for my car. When I got out of my car (after we pulled to the side in a parking lot) I just had two indentations from the screws of his license plate and a sore back. Didn't bother with insurance but I know he did

Yeah! The rear ends of Maximas seem to be built like tanks. I had the same thing happe to me...I was the end of a four-car accident that started from behin me and all that I had were the marks left from the screws in the person behind me...they, on the other hand, did not make out so well.

I haven't been hit in the Maxima yet, but I got rear-ended by an Accord in my Sentra once. Same thing. No real damage except for a couple of marks where his front license plate screws were.

The damage is hidden underneath the bumper cover. It's designed that way. The bumper cover pops back to it's original shape and the energy absorbing structure beneath it compresses.
