Geez..you guys are so slow, I posted that message like 2 months ago indicating that Brian emailed me telling me that the Konis (from 4th gen) would fit on 5th gen max, but like Kev is doing, I never seen it in person, I still hold some doubts!!!!
But i guess it will fit as Brian indicated!!!I hope...
Kev????

Still waiting on the stupid Ground Controls to come in before I put the Koni's on. They are back ordered on top hats... but they told me my order will be shipped out on Monday. We'll see.......

No, you don't have to take off your wheel to adjust the ride height. The range of adjustability depends on the spring height you get. I believe the default spring height is 7" all around, so that'll let you lower your car to about 2"(?).
I got 6" springs all around with 500 lbs. spring rate for the fronts and 375 lbs. for the rears. It's going to be a VERY stiff ride.
<~~~ This is how we'll feel with the new setup.

I'm probably going to get the camber plates from Stillen. Imagine the cornering ability with camber like that!

Kev just a word of warning, I took my ground control's off because of my koni shocks. You are going to have to do some mods in the back to get them to not make a lot of noise.
OH and Kev you will not need camber plates. With my car all the way down the wheels were still straight.

What spring rates and what was your spring height? I'm interested in what setup you ran. Thanks.

I have a question for you. You ordered a 4th gen GC kit, correct? They said they don't have 5th gen rear top hats, so did you have to make any modifications to make the coilovers fit? Thanks in advance for the info.
I have a 4th gen, and with the old tophats they made alot of noise. They sent me the new tophat but have not put it on yet. hope it does not squeak anymore. let us know on how the ride is with the Konis. thanks

I called GC and they said no 5th gen top hats were in production yet. Guess I'll be using the 97 version.

Shox.com told me the 5th gen struts were totally different than 4th gen struts also...

Yeah, I thought the 4th gen top hats would be the same as the 5th gens, but GC told me it wasn't so.

So, how long do you think Koni's or Tokico's will last?
