VIS Body Kit - Any info about their products?

I was thinking of getting the R34 front bumper, and was just wondering if anyone had already gotten one from this company. How's the fiberglass, how strong is it, and if you did get it, for how much? Any info would be appreciated, and for the link to their website its here http://www.visracing.com/catalog/pro...c73be5ea736ada

The headlights bulge like that anyway. I'm pretty sure that on my car it looks like that from the front.

look at your stock bumper head on, and look at the VIS. the stock lights sit nice and flush with the end of the bumper. the VIS they actually stick out OVER it. the honda guys seem to like them a lot, but this seems like the only thing they make for us.

Hmm, I live in California, and I was thinking of just driving up there to check out the kit myself and see what the quality is. I wonder if anyone ever backs there body kits with workmanship waranties.

We sell quite a few body kits from VIS daily and we next to never get problems about the fitment. Give me a call if you're looking for prices on anything they carry.

Well the problem with the quote above he has only sold the urethane bumper, not the fiberglass. I had questions regarding the fiberglass, if its good or not.

Good luck, thats a little low for fiberglass going up driveways and etc. U may be hitting it quite a bit depending if that car is lowered or not. I'm gettin a fiberglass kit and i expect it to hit a few times but my car is raised a bit and the kits not as low to the ground as that. Ur in CA with decent roads but its a risk i wouldnt take. It should last a couple of years and it does look like it fits pretty nice.

its not too bad looking IMO, but i beleive my bumper is just as low, and i have srapped it many times. But mine is urathane, and that one is Fiberglass, if mine was FG it would have been shattered long ago. so just remember that any driveway thats at a bigger slant, or uneaven pavement, you have to be very carefull.

Yeah, i figured it would be pretty low, but i had a car before tht had a 2.5" clearence and it was workable. I guess the main idea is avoid bumps.

Is this what we are talking about? Doesn't look that low.

But then again, the car doesn't look dropped.

it may not be dropped but if you look at the rear wheel and where the kit is in relation to that it does look pretty low...if the front is just as low you may literally run into a few problems.

I want that front, probably the sides but with the Stillen rear. I don't like the style of that rear, I think it's too much. But thanks for posting that pic!

Look at how far OUT the rear bumper sticks out to the side, it just looks pain nasty. Also I belive in order to install this bumper in the front the bumper support beam has to come off- and if you get into a accident- THIS beam takes ALOT of the beatting durring the impact. Without the beam, your radiator, condenser, even engine and tranny are at risk of being victims durring a car crash ! Anything fiberglass sucks, skip this fuggly thing.

Does anyone know if that beam really needs to come off for this bumper?

Whats up, I just bought the kit for $380 and 150 shipped. It will probably take a couple weeks though for some info on what needs to be done for the front bumper to be put on. If you get the info sooner...please post it up....and good luck with your kit!

too many holes. You better have a huge intercooler to fill that giant hole.

Yeah...I'm planning to turbo it so the intercooler would look nice in that gap.

just curious Tonymaxnismo, did you buy it since you saw it here or did you see it somewhere else? I'll be really interested in the results of you installing the kit, if you can or have the time, please try to do a step by step. Thanks!!

I've been saving up for this kit for a while...you can say I'm a skyline freak. Since I'm tight on money with school and all....it took a while to purchase the kit. I'll hit yall up with the info though no doubt. I'm just trying to find the fog lights for that kit...vis hasn't respond back.

did you get it straight from them or through someone else. $380 for the kit is low! I got quoted around $350 for the front alone and about $170 for the carbon fiber lip. Are you getting the lip as well or just the front bumper, sides and rear?

I'm poor so I bought mine from ebay.... I want get the carbon fiber splitters. I think the lip on the Vis maxima site is to much for me.

this link is to the guy selling it for 380 and the bottom on is another type of r34 kit going for 529...it sports a different side and rear kit and your gonna have to change out your exhuast tip for this kit to look good.

Tony, I've seen that kit, however I think the one from VIS is the closer of the two when it comes to the skyline look, I have a Skyline on my desktop and when i put those two side by side, the only noticeable differences are A the headlights and B the fact that the Max is smaller....i'd go with the Vis one

The first thread I think....the kit is identical to the vis one and the second one with the blue max...the grill looks like the factory oem set up. I'm getting the first one..... cuz I don't like the other setup...the rear is not my style and I don't want to redo my exhuast set up.
