suspencion question?

i`m a nubiew so please no flames....lol....i bougth a set of tein springs to lower my car but a mechanic suggested that i shouldn`t do that because this type of car are not made for that, and that it will mess up ball joint, control arms ect... so my ? is is this true?

find a new mechanic...that guy is full of it. Lowering any car puts different pressures on various suspension parts, that is true...but the only thing that could "theoretically" go bad is wheel bearings if your drop is too extreme. But based on how many people here are lowered with no problems, I wouldn't worry about it....

Yeah, find a new mechanic. This one was problably to lazy and didn't want to do the work for you. Are they h-tech or s-tech? I have been on Eibach springs for more than a year and I have never had any problems with broken or faulty suspension parts.

Let me explain he is NOT my mechanic...lol and they are s- tech...what`s the difference!

s-techs lower the car even more then h-techs. h-techs are like H&R springs. the only problem you might have after a while is blown shocks if you dont get aftermarket ones.

yeah i got tokico illumians. they are 5 way adjustables struts/shocks. and you could find them in the group deal section of maxima.org
