headlights work fine BUT tailights, instr. cluster light, side marker lights do NOT !
I live in Chicago where we have been experiencing 10s highs for the past month, hence, I presume that my plastic bumper has become brittle and the hard jostle from landing on lawn rock in the just the right (for me wrong) place resulted in my bumper detaching itself from the passenger's side. NOW neither my dashboard light nor my tail lights when the head lights come on.
All systems were working fine until my bumper fell off detaching the fog lamp wires.

check your fuses...under the hood and under the dash......when the incident happened, it might have short circuited something...
and what the hell does this mean?

I was pulling out of a foreign driveway, was unaware a large rock was located at the corner end of driveway (covered w/snow) and my bumper landed right on corner of rock detaching itself from the passenger side. ANYWAYs I checked fuses under the dash, ALL are fine. HOWEVER, the fuses under the hood intimidate me; how does ones go about finding the bad fuse, and then replacing the bad fuse?

its a fuse, same thign happened to me 2 months ago with the same lights going out, the dealer will check it for free with that lighting up screw driver and replace it for 2$ it takes about 20 seconds

Thanks to all that responded. I fixed it. I replaced the fuse (10 amp) under the hood (driver's side). Problem was the fog light wires were coming into contact with each other hence everytime I replaced the fuse and turned the lights on the fuse would melt,; the solution was to secure the exposed wires w/ some electricaltape.
