Help On Sound System Instal

Hi Everybody I Have A 2002 Nissan Maxima Se With A Non Bose Audio System, I Have A 6 Speaker Am/fm/cd Cdplayer And Im Having Trouble On Installing My Aftermarket Amp And Subs On The Stock Am/fm/cd Player So Could Some One Please Help Me Out On How To Install The System Please.

line out converter... it will take the signal from the speakers and convert it to rca outputs.

Adding subs is a great idea but don't stop there. GET RID OF THE STOCK SPEAKERS. Extremely cheap, low quality drivers. "Wizzer" cone design in the doors. The stock head unit isn't that great either. For less than $250-300 you can get a decent CD that plays MP3s. and many places give you the mounting adapters and harness connectors for free so the install is quick and looks clean.

The post about the line out converter is on track. How are you getting signal to the sub amp? Tapping into a set of speaker outputs behind the head unit? If so (and not sure of any other way to get to it) a speaker out to line level adapter is needed if your amp doesn't have speaker level inputs.
