modded 5th gen vs spec

Hey guys please dont lock this for talking about racing. But Im wondering why this happend. My friend has a 03 with intake and some type of ecu upgrade maybe jet or something. Ok my other friend has a 04 spec v. We ran them at first giving the spec 2 cars well he be the max badly. Then we tryed them head up and we pull on him off the line. we were like 2 cars out on him and in 3rd gear he just ups and passed us.Now both of these are my friends and their is no nitrous on either car. Both cars are 6speeds. But how could this happen. As i read at car stats.com the max is 14.7 stock and the spec is 15.5 stock. All this was done on a private road. Now for my self I can set both of them out and eat them up. yes with a 3rd gen.

P.s the max does have 19 crome on it but has beaten new accords badly before.

well the 03 his name is max and he has made some 03 accords look very bad. The spec is stock other than a catback. But when I race either one of them the 03 max will hang with me better than the spec v
