Well you just need to keep on pressing trip to get the "DTE" People were saying its not accurate but i calculated my MPG and compared to the TRIP Computer and the numbers were exactly the same.

what is the "DTE"
isn't there one that says xx.x mpg
and another that says "DTE" blah... somthing

plus a few times when i almost ran out of gas, the DTE would start flashing and my check gas light came on

Yes that happend to me today i was almost out like my light was on for 2 days i did it for a purpose and the DTE didint even tell me how many miles i have remaining it was a dashed line and DTE flashing but to locate the DTE keep on pressing trip until u see a big number thats of course if you just filled up that tells you the distance till empty.

ok so DTE means how many miles I've driven since I last filled up, thats what i wasn't getting - what does it stand for

will i get better gas mileage cruising at 2000rpm or 1500 rpm

if im just chillin i will cruise 40 in 5th gear, or 30 somthin in 4th gear
but if im flyin around.... well you know, lower gears...

dte = distance to empty.....meaning, you can go xxx number of miles before you have to fill up again

alright..the trip computer shows the temp. outside, your AVERAGE mpg (that is until you reset it..), your DTE or distance to empty, your average speed (you can reset all of these by holding down the trip button on the steering wheel), and a timer, so you can see how long your trips last and what your average speed was...i know its a really hard concept, but if you sit there and stare at it long enough, it'll click...

Now now... let's not start any e-thuggin here...

Can't be so sensitive when you're on an internet forum... worse posts have resulted from questions like yours... I'd say this was a pretty moderate response as it is...
