Hi everyone,

I'm helping out a co-worker of mine...Since the I30 closely resembles the 5th Gen maxima.

I'm guessing the 2000 Infiniti i30t's xenon system is similar to our 2k2/2k3 maxima's. Question for those who know. What would the problem be if the lights are turned on, but the xenon bulb flickers on and then stays off on one side of the car? (other side is fine) Is it a sign of a damaged ballast?

Stealership says the full headlight housing / ballast need to be changed and cost would be CAN$1200 to do so. Stealership says his 'relay' is malfunctioned, but does he mean Ballast?

Any help would be great..

couldnt imagine why the housing would need to be replaced....for $1200. sounds as though the dealer is 'relay' trying to screw this guy. its either the igniter or balast, both can be purchased on ebay for less than $200
