ARGH ....Tire Decision time....please help

hi guys....im at the point where i definetly need new tires....no traction left in my crappy crapenza re-92's

ive been pulled left and right from the opinions of my friends on what i should go with as far as tires on this car but they dont have maximas....so i come to you! lol

i have a 2001 SE maxima (all black) stock everything though with 225/50/17 tires/rims (oem)

I saw the Bridgestone Turanza LS-V for $145/tire on tirerack.com (this is the 94V)

what do you think....any suggestions outside of that? any place to get tires cheaper or should i try to talk firestone down in price so i dont have to buy online

thanks in advance for your advice!!

I have LS-V's as my three-season tires on my '01 AE and I couldn't be happier with them. They are leagues better than the Potenzas in all respects, but that's not saying much. A buddy of mine has Michelin Pilot Sports and they are very good as well - slightly better in the cornering / steering response categories and slightly worse in ride comfort / wet handling versus the LS-V's would be my assessment.
