Is this possible?
The countour at the bottom of the door (around the wheel) is what prevents the square windows from going down all the way.
All cars with this kind of rear door curve have some sort of limit to how far down they can go.
My question is whay don't they make windows in a shape that would accommodate that wheel contour?

acuras
I saw an Acura vigor with all of its windows down yesterday. They were down but werent.... The back windows slanted to accomidate the wheels. It looked wierd. The front of the back windows were down in the door but the backs were up about 8 or 9 inches So they sloped down like 30 degrees....

i don't think it's possible for the window to go by the contour of the wheel well. picture this.. take the visible glass u see when the window is rolled up. place it where it would be in the door when it is completely rolled down. alotta auto manufactured have tried to eliminate the problem by having larger c pillars. but then it's kinda ugly.. i think the 4th gen max could roll their rear windows further down than us.. they got a big mama c pillar
Yeah its possible> That feature is only found in North American cars
Cars sold in Asia and Europe can have their windows go all the way down. My friend living in Taiwan can get his Maxima's rear windows to go all the way down

95 Escort I had the back windows went all but 3" down...
I saw a foreign car once... thought it was a subaru legacy...
the back windows went down so far then sorta rotated forward.... this mean the corner stuck up so the windows wasn't level but they went down more.
Its sometimes a safety feature as well so kids dont get too far out the window.

yeah just like the lexus. they all roll down together adn the rear stops and the front keeps going down. the 5th gen maxima in taiwan also doesn't roll down all the way. or at least the one i saw. i'm not tryin' to prove a point just my observation.
