Newbie here, questions about some probs.

Hi all I am new here actually I have been lurking for quite some time and have learned a lot from you guys. Thanks. I have a 2002 max se auto and think its a great car definitely on par with my MB CLK500. Well not as fast as my MB but its pretty fast. I think the max is more comfortable and luxury-wise are almost the as my MB except the max has heated steering wheel which I think is great.
I recently discovered this problem with the rear right wheel making a thumping sound at first I thought it was a flat but it wasn't. I recently changed my tires to falken and the sound disappeared but then came back one day later. I am thinking maybe its the strut I am not sure. I get this feeling like the wheel is driving wobbly.
Also another problem I have is the heater. When its cold out and the fan is turning on slow fan like 2 bars or less it makes this weird vibrating sound from the passenger side. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for a long post.

wheel bearings are sometimes a problem on the maxima (I've replaced one), but usually on the front.......if you take it to any decent mechanic, he should be able to tell you in about 10 seconds if it's a bad bearing.....

He has been lurking and waiting so at the opportune moment, he can appear as a lowly noob, but know tons of stuff and be like the "Maxima Prodigy" or something and we would all worship him. Well maybe...nevermind...ok...I'm done.

i too drive a bunch om mb's,beemers, jags, and porsche's. the one thing i have noticed is that the max tends to grow old a little better than the euros. the doors still close well on the max. and the dash holds up pretty welll. i always end up slamming the door on the e-class because of it not shutting tight enough.

and welcome noob,or rookie. which ever you choose.

hahaha I wish unfortunatley I am no way near a Maxima prodigy but one day I hope to be "The One".

Regarding this comment.
"I drive a lot of MBs...I think they are way more lux than maximas..."

Yea the E, S, SL CL, CLS, are more luxurious than the Max but I think compared to CLK its comparible. I actually think the seats on the max are more comfortable. As far as options and features, my max has the same ammenties as my clk500.

well I just meant luxury-wise but performance-wise CLK wins hands down in all categories.

economically no question, max
reliability - no question max
overall cost - no question max
luxury - honestly i have never sat in a 2k2 max, but i'd say the MB is not to my taste and 2k4 max is gorgeous inside
performance-wise - again no question CLK

ya get what ya pay, and pay for, and pay for....

those are my couple of pennies

as for the problem at hand.....
is it a thud that increases w/ speed? or when ya turn?
