what's the best bra for my max? and the best place to buy it?
i want something looking sharp - and not too expensive - i saw ppl recommending the LeBra from www.saddleman.com

You might want to check out the victoria's secret calalogue for MAXIMAS!!! I think lace would look nice

I just ordered the Nissan one from a dealer and it's going to be 117+tax. I think it would be better since it's made for the Max, and I've had instances where the aftermarket ones doesn't seem to fit quite right...

i saw the LeBra is 87 + tax - anyone used it for the 5th gen? is it a good fit?

i also got mine from the nissan dealership. 2 clips have broken off from it and i have a small tear on the right fendor side.
lol, damn nissan...

My 2 cents:
I ordered mine last year from www.jcwhitney.com
They didn't have the LeBra model at the time and sent me a custom made...it may have been 70 bucks or so...it gives a distinct look.
but the LeBra seems to be a good fit on other models i've seen.

I got mine from Saddleman but since I've got the AE, the only one that fits my car is a LeBra Custom Hood Protector and, as you can see from my sig pic, only covers the front edge of the hood. BUT... it's well made and fits like a glove, especially around the contours near the grill.

I think it was something like $58 bucks and they got it out to me in a few days. I kinda wish they had one that would fit the entire front end of my car. I think I get 10 pounds of bug-guts on my bumper alone everytime I drive to and from work. But I'll take that over stones any day of the week

I asked a similar question several weeks back and was recommended the Colgan brand of bra since it seems to be the best in terms of quality. A bit pricey between $46.00 to $103.00 depending on what you get. Colgan even makes mirror covers.

I've been told that the one Nissan offers is a very tight fit, can be difficult to put on, and can fall apart easily. And don't forget that factory parts can be overpriced.

Le Bra is best

I've sent everyone, including RcticMax, to www.saddleman.com for the LeBra kit. As he said, only the hoodcover works on the AE due to the body kit.

To the guy ordering the Nissan version...sorry! I tried it, it didn't fit, and the quality is way under the LeBra. Do yourself a favor and cancel your order and order from Saddleman. Or, you can wait and see for yourself.

Yep, srmtn gets all the credit for that one and I can't thank him enough. As you can see by HIS sig pic (which is a gazillion times clearer than mine) you can see how well it fits.

Gotta get me a digital camera. srmtn - everytime I see your sig pic, I like the Merlot even better.

The Manzeer (for you Seinfeld fans)

Hey there, I have a few of these for other cars and also purchased the one from Nissan for my 00 Max. I like the top smaller part of the set up. But the larger bottom part, broke as soon as I tried to put it on the first time. Two of the many many hooks on it pulled right off.Crappy stitching or something. I still use the top, but I brought back the rest of the thing and got a credit for it.

I must agree... I am really happy with the quality of the Wolf bra's. I just traded my 96 se and used a Wolf hood cover only (anybody need one??), and I use a full bra on my 300ZX... Awesome quality... maybe a bit pricey but worth it.

I just bought a 2001 AE... Thanks SRMTN for mentioning that the full bra wont work on this one. I almost forgot... Looks like I will be getting the hood cover only again!

Well...

I've had my Nissan bra for over 3 weeks now...taken it off and put it back on for a total of 3 times (cuz of rain). The first time I tried to put it on, it was excessively tight, but now, it fits quite well. Although I think the top piece might get loose if I take it off and put it on a few more times...but we'll see about that...

So far, nothing has fallen appart yet (crossing my fingers and toes)

Paint Problems??

I know this may reqire a totally new thread but since I saw all the hype on the bras I'll ask anyway. Has anyone ever noticed that under there bra after a while the paint turns a different color. On my friends old Accord the paint is totally discolored. I guess this is because of the lack of air circulation in his case, however I'm not sure whether the new ones made by Nissan or the LaBra have special air pockets. thanks

LeBra is the best.

Thanks to SRMTN for recommending saddleman and LeBra. I got the hood cover as well and it is an awesome fit. Highly recommended!

Yes...it's a fact that it happens...do a search on bra and you'll find some posts about it.

Sunlight is one of the reasons, and dirt and sand is the other...as sand and dirst gets under the bra, it just tends to rub the top layer of the paint off...That is why it is recomended that you clean and wax the area before you put it on and take it off and wash it once it rains...

I only use the bra for long trips on the highway...which is almost every weekend. I take it off (most of the time) during weekdays.
