HELP!!! Weird Problem...........
HELP!!! Weird Problem...........
i have a 2k2
ok, i felt my car is very hesitate today. When i first started the car this morning, seems like the car wasn't willing to start but the "fire up" sound is normal, not like you have a bad battery or something. so i started to drive...when i brake...the car seems really hesitate when it about to stop...
Ok now comes the werid problem....everytime when the gear is on P or N....the rpm just goes up and down by itself between 1k and 2k...but when it's in D, everything is normal...
then afterwards, when i left my car for a good 5-10 mins...the car wouldn't start....but..3-4 hrs later....it started again....still have the rpm up and down problem between 1k and 2k
what's the problem??? might be the distributor?? or spark plugs??

Very early symptoms of Idle Air Control Valve failure. Have it looked at. Eventually you'll get a code telling you your IAVC is shot. I know someone who has this right now, and his problem started out like yours and progressed. I doubt it's the MAF, because the car will go into limp-mode and you'll feel like a turtle trying to bring the needle past 3000RPM.
