Rim re-painting?

I was wondering if anybody knows a place I can get my rims re-done? After an accident I had a rim with a huge scuff. The body shop sent it to a local place and they did a SH*TTY job. The rim looks like it has no shine at all and the other 3 are polished silver. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you'll need a re-stripping, then a nice powder coating job. I'd start with the yellow pages and see if and how much it will be....won't be cheap, and might take a couple days. After that

Yea, I'd call all the auto paint shops.

You might have to go to a bigger city...I'm not familiar with where in FL your town is...but I bet Miami would definitely have a place that does powder coating.

you might be better off getting a whole new wheel at this point. otherwise its gonna be more expensive fixing it, rather than buying a brand new one.

Might be cheaper to look on ebay for another rim to match? I had the same problem and found a 17 in excellent shape for $155.00

I know of a place in Newton, MA that a co-worker brought his BMW wheel to to be repaired. The wheel looks great, but I don't know what kind of damage there was before. The place is called Rim and Wheel Works. You can check them out if you like.

You could fix it yourself. Aircraft stripper. Then buy the color paint you want. Go to an Autozone and look in the paint section. You dont even have to remove the tire. Just have to cover it up.
