rims...nice....

but those tail lights....hmmm....

every time I see a CF hood I think of those guys with the red fender on their silver car.....can't the CF hoods be painted body color?

Agree with Josh 100%. I'm not a fan of the non-matching hood either. Also not crazy about your body-painted tails--looks too Chevy Imapala. Rims, tint, and whatnot else looks real good though.

Oh yeah, get a factory spoiler on there.

One might argue that the point of a CF hood is weight reduction. But I guess it makes more sense that it's for looks on these cars. Guess it's a matter of personal taste. I mean, it's tasteful, just not for me. But nice car anyway.

well, the CF hood is actually primarily for weight reduction.....CF/fiberglass body panels have been used for many years in race cars or track-modified production cars....(or stock corvettes, for that matter)

somehow CF hoods have turned into a style statement....kind of reminds me of how big-*** spoilers are used as actual performance accessories (i.e. downforce) on race/track cars (or high-powered RWD production cars) but now half the FWD civics out there seem to have them as style (or lack thereof) accessories when they don't do a FWD car any good performance-wise (unless you're doing a slalom course at 100 mph).....

to answer your question.... yes, I personally would paint it - then again, look at my car. I have quite a few modifications, especially suspension, but could easily be mistaken for a stock maxima by someone who doesn't know maximas like those here on the org.....

some of us do things only for the sake of utility or performance, and others do things for the sake of style...of course, neither one is "bad" or "wrong," just differing views on what we all like.

It's the old "are you all show or all go" question....

sorry if I sounded like I was criticizing you - I wasn't......but if I had your exact same car (cf hood, not painted) I would say:

"I have a CF hood, and it's great because it has resulted in my car being 30 (or whatever) pounds lighter, which is just as good as adding a few horsepower. And I also like how it looks!"

....but that's just me, and I'm not you!

I do like the rims though. (of course, I would like them better if you said "they only weigh 18 lbs, which is 7 lbs lighter than my stock rims"

actually, GLEs are SUPPOSED to be the top of the line....but i guess there were some that could be less optioned than most maxes...i just didnt know this, and thought all 5th gen GLEs came with leather, bose, and auto climate control. (i knew the sunroof was an option)

what kind of tires? If they are a directional tread, they will "follow the bumps" so to say in many case.....

what is your tire pressure? not to mention that you now have a lot lower profile and dropped the car so you will "feel' the road a lot more. you might feel like you are jumping all over the place, however, you are not...

i have Conti Extreme Contacts, i know they are not the same, but i thought i might say that i dont have a problem...

stiff, low-profile sidewalls will do that.....your tire pressure should be in the low 30s somewhere (when cold)....tire places have an annoying tendancy to jack it up to like 37-38, which could make it squirrelly...

depends on the tire, my Conti's are kept at 35psi, however i am thinking about creeping it up to 37psi...
