I haven't driven my Maxima in three weeks because I'm traveling for work. So I've had a chance to really observe some Maximas in my travels. I must say the Maxima is one hot @ss car, GLE, SE, or GXE. As if we all didn't already know.

Here's what I've observed/realized in three weeks:

1. Driving a Ford Taurus is not cool. I can't wait to get home to drive my Maxima. I have a company car that is a Ford Taurus. Between my company car and rental cars, I know the Taurus inside out.

2. Rolled up in a blue Taurus (sigh) on a guy with a black SE like mine Sat. night in LA. Asked him how he likes it. He loves his Maxima. I was so jealous that I did not have my ride while cruising Sunset Blvd.

3. A Lexus IS looks like a piece of **** compared to a Maxima. An IS is a Honda Civic with 17" wheels. They have nice interiors, however.

4. The Sterling Mist Maximas are sweet. Saw a Sterling Mist AE on I-5 outside of Modesto, CA on Sunday... almost broke my neck to get a look at it. This car was very clean and shiny.

5. Saw a Black Maxima GLE with aftermarket headlights in Roseville, CA. What kind of lights are those? I have to get them.

6. Just happened to go to a Nissan dealership to look at the Maxima the other day.

7. A Maxima out accelerates a Taurus. Had this happen yesterday when I was next to a Black GLE. Like I didn't already know

8. Nissan could have put a better looking tail pipe on the AE.

9. The back of the Maxima is sweet, GLXE and SE. There is NOTHING wrong with the back of the car.

10. For the Majestic Blue AE at the HP Roseville site, your ride is HOT!!

11. After driving the Taurus from Sacramento to LA, I will never take my Max on a road trip without a bra.

12. Women do not look at guys who drive a Ford Taurus.

13. Rocketshipon19" your ride is too damn hot for words.

I found out all those things you pointed out when driving a Chevy Malibu last year when I was in san jose.....These points were reinforced when I had to drive a Saturn for three days when the max was in for service also

I had a tire going down yesterday morning. I hobbled up to NTB to get it fixed. The sales guy goes out to car, feeling around for something, like a nail, like he would be able to fix it right then and there had he found it.

He asked, "Is this lowered? It looks like it. Most of them look jacked up." I guess I saved us "face".

I hope your business trip is going well, but, dude, you are seriously obsessed with the Maxima! You gotta get home to your car, cuz your withdrawal symptoms seem almost life threatening.

Girls DEFINITELY like the car

The car is a chick magnet. Although, (for you people in the D.C. area) taking it down to G-Town, you might feel a little "out classed". Don't get me wrong, I get plenty of looks from the chicks down there, but when a 2001 Lamborghini Diablo pulls up next to me, it kinda takes the wind out of my sails.. Oh well, I love my car!, GO MAXIMA!

My Maxima has a distinct advantage over the Lamborghini: I can afford the Maxima.

Here's what I've observed/realized in three weeks:

I agree with most of what you said but I was in Vegas and drove to LA and back last week and did not see a single 5th Gen at all! I was really suprised by this. I rented a Grand Cherokee and had it for 5 days. It was nice but man I missed Aaliyah real bad. I see at least 3-4 5th Gen's out here in Jersey City a day. I do envy Cali for it's weather. Thinking of moving out there by the end of summer.
