Another visit to the dealer...
Hey guys, my sagga came to an end today, since I've purchase my 2k1 AE SE Auto new in fall 2000, the tranny has been slipping, not always but oftenly enough to bug me... since the last 3-4 years I've always been shifting the auto manually to bypass this problem, sort of speak. Today I went to a new Nissan dealer and explain that my car is now at 97K and warranty will be over at 100K, the guys was very nice and said he would make everything to give me satisfaction.
I left the car at 11:00, at 3:30 when I spoke with the service manager, he confirm the tranny was slipping, therefore there was a TSB that involve the Solenoid and something else that would be replace under warranty, he could not believe that it was never fixed before, it is cover by the Nissan warranty.
They also replaced the 2 front wheel bearing, bot where severly shot. I also had a CEL, PO505 it concern the IAAC valve, I had it replace 3 weeks ago at my regular dealer, today they erase the PO, if it come back then the IAAC valve might need to be replace again I'll see what happend in the next few days.

if his warranty is over at 100k i would think so. mine were replaced at 70k under my extended warranty (not through nissan).

The first time I asked my dealer, St-Leonard Nissan, the service manager told me I the car was new, blah blah blah, the tranny was knocking very hard sometime, so I brought the TSB that an org member gave me and they respond me that this was for US only and I should give time and perhaps this problem would fade away ????
I tried another dealer in Repentigny, he said that was normal that the tranny slip sometime so I never went back there. At that time there was another Nissan dealer in PAT but they argue they couldn't replicate the slippage. So last year I went back the St-Leonard Nissan and one of the service manager told me maybe it was because I had a heavy right foot, he basically said with all the mods on the max dont be surprise if weird thing happend, I was like WTF it has nothing to do with the tranny slippage, I have no boost just bolt and it doesn't create that much more power. Even when I bought the Murano in october I told the salesman about the tranny slipping of the max and he said take an appointment and they will see what they can do but because Nissan Gabriel is 4 corners street form home I decided to give it a shot and luckily it paid off. The car should be fix friday of this week so I'll wait and see what difference it make, anyhow I'm planning on swapping the auto for a stick over the next year.
