Got My CF hood today :)

I finally got my hood...I love DHL. I always get my packages early from them.

Here are some Pix...and yes...it's really ViS for $468 shipped.

Here's my baby just waiting for it...I would have installed already but it started to snow today

How much did you pay and from where? I saw that the guy had many (over 1000) good reviews and people have bought ViS hoods from him, so I decided to jump on it.

yeah, the eyelids are gonna set off both our hoods. i got mine from SCO for just over $500 with tax, i believe. i cant remember the exact amount, cuz i used a credit left over from something else, so i only paid the difference. you definitley made out better tho.

maybe it will be time for a mini-tri state meet soon

Looks to be very good quality. I've heard nothing but good things about VIS, and wish I had one now. I was just looking at that last week on ebay, and debating. Now that you've beaten me to the punch and made it look all good, I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and de-vest in one. Nice job, and thanks for being one of the few that took the ebay chance.

Congrats man. Not a big fan of the CF hoods, but on a dark colored car like yours, will probably turn out ok.

I'll have more pics when the weather gets better....still snowing somewhat.

I'll also clean the car and make minor adjustments to the hood to make it fit better.

it actually looks kinda hot since your front lip isnt painted, but i know your not leaving it like that. lines up nice, and the fitment on the front seems pretty much standard VIS.

how much lighter was it than stock?

I didn't weigh it...I think it's 20 LBS for the CF and about 45 for the stock.

I measured it, and the hood is shorter ¼ inch on the sides but down the middle it's the same length.

I also think the CF hood is not as curved as the stock hood.

Off topic, but do you guys think the smoked (painted black) HIDs like Polak's and KCMC's would look good on a Sterling Mist? I saw one that looked pretty cool, but it was only one picture and now I don't know who it was. Although I guess doing this with DDEs already epoxied on might be a b*tch.

I think it would look good...just might be harder to tape and paint around the rings...and not breaking them.

see, i dont personally like that. aside from the orange, he didnt paint the silver on cylinders, those are still that silver color. it has too much going on in there. chrome, silver, orange, and black. IMO, those silver cylinders should also be black, like on mine. to each his own, but i think it would look better with everything painted except the chrome rings
