Splash Plate/cover Hanging

I Was Wondering If Anyone Beside Myself Had A Problem With The Splash Plate Cover (under Front Bumper) Hanging. Makes Car Look Bad From The Front. I Took A Look At Mine And I See There Are 4 Clips Holding It Up. Even With New Clips Mine Hangs. If You Had This Problem And Corrected It, What Did You Do. I Thought About Puting Superglue On Mine To See If It Would Hold Up.

mine holds fine. the holes on yours are probably too big. i can't think of any way to solve it besides maybe get bigger clips or a new cover.

just out of curiousity, where did you get the clips?

sorry, are you talking about the two splash covers that are fastened to the front bumper cover with three big clips each?
I went to Home Depot and got some bolts, nuts, and washers, and secured the splash covers to the bumper with them instead of clips.

what happened to me one day is that clips holding covers in place all poped off when i was driving rather fast, after that i put them back in place, and they were actually holding up if i didn't go too much over the speed limit, but then once again i drove well above the speed limit and they poped off again, and since then the splash covers start hanging, i hated it, so i bolted them up instead of putting the clips in...

just my $.02 cents

I got the clips from the Nissan Dealership. I think I will try to use bolts as well.

thanks for the help.

how do you bolt in in place when you can't reach around to put the nut on it? or can you?

self tapping screws work wonders - and make it much easier to take the shield down when needed.

what do you screw them into though? isnt there just the bumped on top of that thing which the clip goes through and expands on the other side.
