can we see some enlarged pics?
also, have u try to take the ram air scoop off? feel any difference?
also, would u put some pics that the OSCAI is installed in ur max.
man, I ask a lot...hehe
Thanx Guys hehe
Thanx for the Comments!
First off No Burner its not a Digital camera, I took these pics last week and had to get it Developed! hehe I wish I had one too!
It took me 2 hours in HOME DEPOT to find and actually put the stuff together!
Parts/Instructions:
One 3 to 2.5 Inch Rubber Coupling
One 2.5 to 2.5 Inch Rubber Coupling
One ShopVac Wand Attachment (the main piece of this intake)
One ShopVac attachment Head (Ram Scoop)
* Note my 2001 Stock Intake doesn't have the "L" pipe so I had to cut the Bottom off, and with a FILE smooth out the Edges *
The WAND Attachment had to be CUT down by 2 inches, its too long sticks out TOO Much under the car.
The Bottom Splash Guard had to be Cut and Folded UP so the RAM SCOOP can stick out ... ADJUSTABLE in HEIGHT (lower for the track, Higher for Street)
Because the Outlet (where the "L" tube Would be attached) from the STOCK Intake/Ram, is not Straight ... its at a Slight ANGLE, so when I add my STRAIGHT OSCAI its actually at the PERFECT angle for the RAM SCOOP to me Aimed PERFECTLY FRONT.
And MAXI-OVERDOSE ... YES the SCOOP makes a difference ... not HUGE but Difference is there!
PUNKDORK: Why feel ghetto ... U were One of the Pioneers in this mod ... It took me like 2 months to get this going ... so its like Version 2.0 it has to be Improved!
Any more questions? lemme know!

You can do wonders with a shop-vac. All you need is a little imagination. Nice going.
BTW, excellent taste in vehicle trim and color, if I do say so myself.
Cheers!

can these b used in conjunction with the SI?

will this increase the flow 2 the SI? as well the the quality (i.e. colder air) to the SI?
Re: Re: hmmm ...
Someone Want to answer this????
Cuz I don't have the Slightest clue!
But IMO I'm sure MY intake is pretty close in performance to the SI if not better.
Plus its a Hell lot cheaper!

If you do the ram it might increase the quality of air. Probably not noticeable. The point of the OSCAI is to give the stock intake more access to air. Its a sealed unit, unlike the SI.

I have tried experimenting with the position of the tubing. When I had it inside the splash guard facing sideways, there was a definite improvement over stock. Then, I went ahead and made it into a ram-air setup with the tube pointing forward through the splash guard. The improvement over the previous setup was quite noticeable. Noise increased slightly, but not much.
Hehe ... my Max has a Nice Growl when I rev it ... its sweet!
