Eh it's ok, not used to seeing that..If you really want to make the car lighter remove the electronics and interior stuff..I doubt that cf trunk knocked off a lot of weight if you still have stuff inside, plus it still is a maxima, which is a pretty heavy car..Either way tho, if you're going for looks then yeah it's ok, not bad..When I look at it, it reminds me of NFSU 2..(gaw that game sucked ballz)

ooo look whose talking mr. NFSU!

hahaha j/p

Maximas are light cars for a 4 door car, thet weigh less then a VW Jetta. Why would i want to remove all my interior parts, i'm entering my car into car shows.

Seriously guys, i mean its a maxima, but Civics have them, integras have them, evos, WRX, plenty of cars, we can just be as unique as the rest of them.

so we are now saying we shouldnt remove the torsion bars, cuz the trunk will fall down? i have a GLE with no spoiler, so mine should arrive today, and we will see how it fits. from the pictures (that dont work at work, for some reason ) it looks like as long as it is lowered a little bit, it will line up perfectly top and bottom.

not bad. hopefully you can get that gap fixed. it looks like your trunk would
take on water right now. not my cup of tea, as it's a little too ricey for my tastes. but hey, i'm not 18 years old either. different strokes i guess. it is definitely original, and i think jose deserves props for this.

what if u took out those torsion bars , u think it would make a differance? My buddy has a cf trunk on his srt-4 n thats what he did to make it sit flush. But by the way that trunk looks very nice mang.

if i take out the bars, the trunk won't stay open, it'll just shut close. I'll have to have a stick hold it up, and thats what i don't want!

i just opened up mine, looks really good, seems like very good quality. it looks like fedex kinda banged it around a little tho, in the corner of the trunk and at the very bottom of the rear edge there are little dents where the white resin (?) is coming thru. any way i can take care of that?

Overall, it looks good Brian. Too bad it doesn't fit that well.
Paying $700+ for a fiberglass trunk lid with a layer of CF on top, I would expect higher quality.

haha, if it wasnt for me, you wouldnt have found this thread
from what the bodyshop guy told me, you can wax it and take care of it just like regular painted body panels, since it has a clear coat on it. we should be careful with the trunk tho, since it doesnt have rolled edges.

haha yeah u did guide me to the right spot...

So its basically like the same as waxing your car, but being extremely careful with the trunk... what kind of buffer would u use? i mean theres a bunch of different sizes
