injen heat/splash shield

i have a question for you guys. for those of you who have the injen cai how many of yous put the heat/splash shield on the intakes? and also what does it really do?

no i didn't bother getting it, it blocks heat from reaching the filter so nothing but cold air gets sucked in, i dont really think its worth it, not unless ur really looking for that tiny bit extra. im sure someone will chime in and tell u to go for it but thats my .02

You can get it if ya want... and a splash shield does like it says... it shields splashes....

I'd sell it and buy a Berk and be done with it if I were you.

i bought a used injen with heat sheild and put it on a few days ago. works great at mid to high rpms, but seems to loose power at lows. just ordered a berk with apexi filter. will put up comparisons when i get the berk installed.
