The ultimate suspension!!
The ultimate suspension!!
Got a question for you guys. Right now, my 2k3 Maxima has fstb, rstb, rsb, Illuminas which are set at 2f/2r, and S-tech springs. I'm thinking of adding a stage 1+2 sfc and Matt's ltb. My question is what will my ride be like? Right now with my current setup my car is moderately smooth, except when going over bumps. I've been told that if I change my settings on my Illuminas to 3f/3r and shave my bump stops (don't ask why I didn't do them to begin with) it'll smooth the ride out more. Also, how much do you think my 18" rims are affecting my ride? Thanks for any help you guys can give me.
The stage 2 LTB will not change the ride itself much as much as the handling. It really stiffens up the front end and steering, and will give back the slight understeer "stolen" when a RSB is installed, giving better-balanced handling.
Can't speak for the SFC's (yet)

Get some Koni bump stops, Sport Compact Car had a article on them- Project B13 SE-R and explained how they are better than OEM ones. I would get SFCs for my car but the problem is I can't find a drive on lift and a portable welder to install them myself. I don't trust anyone working on my car. From the reviews I heard bout the SFCs- ride is much more ridgid, and alot of chassis flex is eliminated giving it that BMW vault feel. It will also help eliminate any squeaks and rattles in the car. It is my last suspension mod I'm going to do, to have THE ultimate setup- I roll on JIC FLTA2s.
