235/45/17s on Stock SE Rims . . .

Re: y2kse - buy anything yet?
I know your last post was only last week sometime, and even if you did buy tires and get them installed, you haven't had much time to really get a good feel for them.
Little background real quick - just purchased my 2k SE last Friday. It's in dire need of new rubber! After seeing the two "acceptible" tires on TireRack (The RE92 & Pilot - both very expensive), looking for alternatives and very interested in the Nitto's. One thing (Among others) I noticed with the RE92s is that they are LOUD! Haven't had much drive time experience with them re: handling, weather conditions, etc.
I have seen the pics that were posted of the Nitto's installed - as you stated, they don't seem to buldge (To our eyes!) So would love to hear your thoughts if you have purchased them yet or at least where you stand with this issue since you obviously have plenty of time invested thus far. Thanks!

My next tires will either be Nitto 555s or Pirelli P7000 SuperSports in 245/45R17. I don't know if anyone is running the Pirellis on their stock rims, but you can check with MaxToolin regarding the Nittos. He's had his on for awhile.

Interestingly enough, the 235/45 in the Pirelli's are not
spec'd for a 7" rmi width - their min rim width is 7.5". the 245/45 in the P7000 are spec'd for a min rim width of 7" which is the stock SE rim width.

What do you all recommend?
I am in desperate need of new rubber and just waiting for the weighin.
