ebrake adjustment?

anyone know where to find detailed instructions on how to adjust the e brake. after i got my brake lines/pads/rotors installed. i noticed my ebrake doesnt work good at all. it barely can stop the car if im going 5mph. any help would be appreciated, i know i can take it back but thats kind of a burden if this is a quick easy fix i would do it myself and save the hassle.

if you pull up on the Ebrake enough- there is a HOLE in the actuall handle cover- and you can see a 10mm nut inside. I just installed my leather shifter and Ebrake boots from Redline Goods, and adjusted my Ebrake- as its been loose since the day I bought my car. Get a 10mm deep 1/4" drive socket on a extension and a ratchet, then adjust it so that it engages good after bout 5-6 clicks.

ok, so i go out there. and i tightened it. but it still seems like this ebrake is useless. the handle is plenty firmer now, and thats a plus. but what im talking about is the amount of pressure the ebrake applies to the actual brakes when applied. it seems like it's not working.

Maxima Ebrake is not strong enough to lock up the rear tires while rolling, if yours doesn't hold at all- chances are the rear calipers are frozen. Mine works great but its not going to stop the car while driving fast. My Altima with rear drums will lock up the rears even at 50MPH if pulled hard enough, Acuras with internal Ebrake setup- similar to drum setup can lock up the rears ez also, but with conventional setup like our Maximas- only found on Integras, sucks just as much as ours does.
