Advance Timing for Manual???

note: i've read ALL the previous threads on advanced timing, but have not found definitive answers to two questions.

1. Is there PROVEN gains for the 5whp per+1degree advance estimate? (no butt-dyno's please)

2. Since no dealers around so. cal will do it for free... am i wasting $40 on a +2 degree advance for my 2k2 SE 6 spd? Icey mentioned it was only noticeable on Auto's. am i wasting my money on my 6spd??

IMHO, Be it auto or Manual, it should make a difference. Advancing the timing to 17 (or whatever), just ignites the fuel a little quicker than before...not sure how much difference you will see, but i hear it does make a difference

Never proven, just butt dynos, when I say never proven, I mean no one has ever done a before and after with that being the ONLY mod.
