according to the Nissan FSM, the correct order is:

RR -> LF -> LR -> RF

also make sure to unplug your battery or pull the fuse for the ABS motor when you bleed the system....

Why do you need to unplug the battery for the brake bleed?

a rule of thumb is to start at the furthest one from the BMC. RR in most cases. This is the longest brake line.Then work your way down to the shortest.

Yes, in older cars that most certainly is the rule of thumb that I've always used.....But with ABS and power brake boosters, perhaps something has changed. In any case, I'm more inclined to go with the order that NISSAN says to go in (posted above) than with a "rule of thumb"....

BTW, you unplug the battery because it's the easiest way to de-power the ABS controller/motors (there are other ways to do it too). You want to have them de-powered so that the ABS motors "freewheel" so to say....so that no air is trapped in the ABS system either.

Truthfully, I'm not sure exactly how this works, but I'm willing to take my factory service manual's advice about turning off the ABS and the bleed order...
