Pics!!!! Custom yellow fogs using laminate

Over the weekend I worked on my fogs to get them to look as close to the lexus yellow fogs as possible. For this project I used yellow laminate from Pearl Paint, 355 adhesive spray, 3m protective film cover (used for outlining the shape of the foglight), and scissors. It was a very inexpensive job for a somewhat satisfying end result. Total time from start to finish was about thirty minutes.

I believe the laminate is blocking some light output, however, I really like the way they look! Since my foglights are cracked (big surprise) this turned out to be a win-win situation for me regardless of less light output. Besides, I plan on buying new fogs and will eventually put in the lexus yellow capsules.

Ok here are the pictures, let me know what you think! (BTW, they appear more yellow when faced with the car in real life).

Spray used to mount the laminate ($4)

Laminate from Pearl Paint (approx $3)

You can buy a set of stock-like HID's from ebay for a ridiculously cheap price. Click the link below:

Sizzo,
They look nice. This could be a temp fix for mine that are cracked as well. Could you post again on this thread in about a week? Let us know if heat plays havoc with the materials you used? Hopefully the materials will hold up for you, but there may be some bubbling or browning after a bit of use.

Thanks and good luck!

I will definintely post updates. Thus far I haven't noticed any problems, but I guess it's too soon to tell. *knock on wood*

they look really nice rich. but i personaly like my fogs to be white.

what bulbs do you have in the fogs? because i know i have super plasma and they get REALLY hot. i don't know it that would screw up the film.

I'm using stock bulbs. I'm done with PIAA super plasmas. I believe they are the culprit that caused my fog lenses to crack, probably due to heat (otherwise rocks). Not sure if the stock bulbs will generate enough heat to damage the film. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

you should be ok with the stock bulbs...i hope

i dont think the PIAAs are to blame for the foglight cracking. i had one crack before i even put them in. and have been driving with them for almost a year now with out a problem.

looks tight man. you should aim your fogs up like an inch so it will over lap with the hids, it looks bad as$ i had the yellow bulbs in from nokya and it was sweet. too bad my bulb burnt and im too lazy to go buy and put in a new one, so its no fogs for me, for now
