Radiator Leak?

I parked my car when i got home, and i saw coolant leak on the floor when i got back, i took it to my cousins mechanic shop and he said i need a new radiator, but first he told me to go to the dealer to see if they would cover it under warranty, but that didnt work because i was over by 3k. So now i need a new radiotor, anybody know where i can get an aluminum raditor, or an aftermarket one, or should i just go OEM? Also, Will a 4th gen radiator fit on a 5th Gen. Thanks for any help!!

i had to replace my radiator because it was clogged (previous owner never flushed it).
the dealership told me to look for one online because they liked me enough not to let me spend $300 on one from them. i cant remember the website i got it from (it was over 2 years ago) but it was around $150 shipped. just look around and you will find one

Just wanted to bring this TTT, as I just ordered a radiator from them and they seemed on top of their stuff.

(no affiliation)

So, thanks to Soonerfan for the link. (even if it is a couple years old!)

Before i ordered my radiator online, i asked my local nissan dealers. they said 4 gens and 5 gens have the same radiator except for MT and AT.

i replaced mine with Mishimoto radiator.

Where did you get yours and what was the price out the door? I'm looking into that for my 2k AT.

NisMo-Max: Can you document the maintainence history of the cooling system, # of miles on the vehicle, did it overheat or accidently discoved the puddle or observed loss of coolant etc.

go to the GROUP DEALS/SPONSORS forum and click on the Koyo radiator thread. You will find:

Koyo Part # 214602Y607
Nissan Maxima 4/1999 - 2001
List Price: $385.05
We are offering these for $150.00 shipped to Maxima.org members.
This price will not be beat!!!

This is for an automatic or stick. I got one for my 97 Max and it fit perfectly. They shipped it the same day I ordered it. They are shipped from Washington state.

I got mine from Napa for about $100. The car had about 100K, it now has 185 so it will as good or better than the OEM next year (if nothing leaks).

The one I recently replaced on my car was a CSF. It looked in pretty good condition on the outside. It was just full of oxidation residue inside, from a disintegrated water pump propeller, caused by major-league neglect on the coolant drain/fill maintenance. Had I found this model before I purchased the new one I would've gotten it.
