hey guys i need help quick i was driving on the highway in my 2001 maxima se with 70k on it and im reving the engine up to about 3 rpm when all of a sudden the car feels like it stalled then turned right back on and the check engine light went on now the car will not rev over 2 rpm even when i florr it in park it kind off wobbles around 2 rpm what do i do need help quick

Mass Air Flow (MAF) is busted. Try a quick search on this site or read the stickies.

Anyone with a busted one want to help? Mine has not gone yet.

 

What kind of intake are you running, stock?

 

If it is stock, check the filter to see if it jammed with anything (highly unlikely though).

 

na i got cold air intake it might be the maf ne1 else can help me? Where is the maf?

 

Sounds like the MAF. It is the the black plastic cylinder( with the wire loom attached to it) on you air intake system.

 

how much and where can i find it to replace it?

Call DaveB or your local Nissan dealer. There's also other places that other people have used to get one... Jerry Rome Nissan? Do a search for it... there are plenty of threads where people have mentioned where they got their MAFs...

i definitly know its the maf just got it from the shop they tested it and they said i need a new one ish just blew out on my on the highway

That's the AM600 MAF... you don't need it, you can get the cheaper one for like $90... DaveB's number is in the FAQs...
