350Z or G35 Rims

i figure this will get more views here then the tire and wheel forum...im planning on getting a new set of rims for my car...still not sure which one to pick and i know the opinions will vary..i want to get the 18" G35 or 350Z rims...anyway...not knowing too much about sizes and stuff...will both of them just bolt on to my 2003 maxima? the wheels on the Z and the G35 have bigger tires in the back right? so will i need to get 2 front sets in order to fit? please tell me anything i might need to know...as i will be buying these pretty soon...

thanks

doug

G35 without a doubt. i love the way they look on irish's car.

you'd probably get more responses if you posted a pic of each. not everyone knows what both rims look like.

I think Infiniti is offering the G35 rims in 17s now on the sedans. I saw a set of them on a G35 around here and at the Auto Show.

Correct but they don't look as good as the 18" IMO.

Are you getting them as is, meaning straigh off the G35c, tires and all? I'd get 245-40s all around.

go for the g 35

go for the g35..you will have only a few scraps on the back when the tires hit the wheel well or something but thats it when going over big dips or bumps with a lowered car..also the center caps in the back will not fit over the green dust cap.

i was looking into getting 235/45/18 but they do not make too many all season high performance tirees in that size so probably will go with 235.40.18 all around soon..here my pic sorry i dont know how to put the picture on this page... http://www.cardomain.com/id/rchun08

hope this helps..

I know I'm going to get beat up for this but has anyone tried the Altima 3.5 SE wheels on a Max? I think those would look alright and should fit right up. If you have please post a pic, i'd like to see it.

You know, those SER Altima rims look pretty sweet with some SER calipers too. But, it would just be wrong to put Altima rims on a Maxima body. Thats just not right.

for some reason i like the 350z 18s (not those in the pics up above) better than the g35 18s. both look better than the stock 17s on our cars.

here's a few pics of mine with the z touring rims, 18x8. no rubbing at all on stock suspension ( stock tire sizes too) I am planning on lowering this summer with H&R's or maxspeeds. the bottom pic is photoshop of a drop.

If i had to do it all over again , I think i would have gone with the G35C 18's instead of the z wheels. I think hte G's look better. Live and learn.

i have the g35 18's....love the way they look.
i think you should go for them or the 350z touring 18's.
whichever you can get cheaper.
but if you get the g35's with the tires i would just take them off and sell them and get some 235-40's.

I am getting a good deal on some 04, 05 stock 18 inch maxima wheels. They are almost exactly like the 350z rims. I am getting this off of a brand new maxima with the good year tires for around 600.00.

I am very pleased with my 350z 18s, but I like the g35c rims just the same.
