Y pipe?

What's up with this y pipe for my '01?
Gotta love the price!
I asked the guy about it and he said perfect fit on my '01 b/c I don't even
need the smaller extension pipe. That's only for the '95-'99 and that's the
piece with the imperfection.
So whatcha think?

an imperfection in the flange could lead to a sizeable exhaust leak.

I always thought that was sloppy himself... I did wonder why he said he had a black Max while it was a blue Max in the sig...

That Y-Pipe looks like it has a bend behind the flex section that mine didn't have. Mine was a Cattman Cali spec. Not sure if that would fit...

I wouldn't touch any exhaust or intake equipment with a flange flaw. If it doesn't mate perfectly, you've got a big problem, not only of the drivability and performance kind but also of the legal variety, at least out here in California. I can fix/modify quite a few things in my well-equipped garage, but a messed flange isn't among them. If it was easily fixed, you know the seller would just do it and sell it in good condition.

My two cents!

Thanx

Good point about the seller.
Thanx for the input.
Just order Cattman Y.

I have a WSP Y-pipe with a flange flaw. The flaw is that the flange is welded on a little twisted. It is possible to install the Y-pipe, there are no leaks, but the twist in the flange pulls the rest of the exhaust down and causes the b-pipe to bang and rattle on road bumps, especially after the car is warmed up (the rubber hangers get softer I guess).
