Someone correct me if I'm wrong but...

If you go with the POP-Charger, you remove the stock air box and, hence, will not need to use a drop in.

As for the FSTB... get it. NOW! You won't regret it.

I'm happy with the JWT POP-Charger for now. But I have a feeling that punkdork is going to talk me into an OSCAI before I know it.

Good luck and enjoy!

Only reason I'm not using my pop charger any more is the pinging I was getting. I just didn't feel like messing with it. If you've got no pinging, then enjoy the increase intake noise. It's quite nice at wot

Pinging? Uh-oh! I'd better go do some searching. First I've heard of it with the POP-Charger installed. Dang it!

Quit followin' me around the board!

Why would a POP ping, and a CAI not?

The DROP-in will not add much gain for the $40.(I made the same mistake, yet if you are staying stock, you only need to buy that filter once) I'd just get the POP, and the FSTB, and the clear side markers, and you will have better handlig you can notice, better throttle response you can feel, and some in the looks department, all with money to spare.

Well I don't have CAI.. I have OSCAI (uses the stock intake box complete with sensors etc). Many people have complained of pinging with cone type intakes (stillen and jwt). Only three or so people have the CAI on here but none of them have had pinging problems. I dunno what the difference is. Perhaps the sensors are more accurate regarding the air coming in through the CAI rather than the cone intake?

I live in El Paso, Texas, Don't think any of you live in a hotter place. I have JWT POP, 108 today, no pinging?

The reason the cone intake may ping is that the temperature sensor is not located inside the intake. The temp sensor gives input to the ECU on fuel and air mixture. I think the 4th gen cone intakes/popchargers have a place to insert the sensor, not so with the 5th gen version. The PR CAI has a place to insert the temp sensor.

Not in my case, Paul. The reason my engine detonated with a Stillen Intake was because I had one or more leaky coils. Now that my coils have been replaced and the detonation has disappeared, I suspect I could re-install an underhood intake without a problem. But I'm really satisfied with the OSCAI and I don't really have a desire to change it.

On the other hand, Hogan's intake looks pretty interesting. I intend to keep an eye on that one.
