Queston about exhaust...

... any type: cat-back/y-pipe/headers or any combination.

How do Maxima's sound with exhaust work done? I want to do some exhaust work to mine, but I do not want to end up having my daily driver sound like some annoying buzzing thing, you know like a Honda Civic with exhaust, I can't stand that. Does anyone have any sound clips of thier Maxima, or any Maxima for that matter, with some type of exhaust work done to it?

I dont have any sound clips but I can tell you that the first 2 things I put on were the stillen rear exhaust and y-pipe. It sounds NOTHING like a civic w/ a muffler. It does have a tone to it, but nothing too "ricey", like a lawnmower. Then I put the b-pipe and straight pipe on together and that made more of a difference in the tone but still nothing close to a high-pitched annoying sound. Hope this helps!

Maximas sounds good.... they do not sound like Honda Civics...

There are exhaust sound clips or links to them in both these threads:

Cool, thanks... I wasn't going to be able to handle my daily driver sounding like a Honda, but I can deal with that.
