I've been noticing some strange behaviour on my 01 Max. At times, when i start that car, the airbag light stays on for a longer time than normal and sometimes, when it does that, i get a rough idle. I dont have any check engine light lit up....is this the signs of coils on their way out. The rough idle ( which last for 20 seconds or so), has been happening for the last 2 years or so and the frequency of it seems to be increasing...

could be a sign of a alternator going bad. SRS system looks for high voltage and if the alternator is not putting out enough juice it will stay on a little longer till it goes through its self-test. Rough idle can be attributed to a low output alternator also. My alternator is on life support right now and my starter might need to be repleaced by winter also.
